Supercommunity
e-flux journal has been invited to participate in All The World’s Futures—the 56th International Art Exhibition: La Biennale di Venezia. For their contribution they created a single issue of the journal spanning four months from May to August, with one piece of writing released each day. Each text will be archived on this website.
Departing from the journal's usual essayistic format, the SUPERCOMMUNITY issue includes poetry, short fiction, plays and screenplays, as well as other epistolary forms by nearly one hundred authors. The theme is an umbrella for several sub-themes developed by Julieta Aranda, Brian Kuan Wood, and Anton Vidokle in collaboration with a number of guest editors including Raqs Media Collective, Natasha Ginwala, Pedro Neves Marques, Boris Groys, Tom Holert, and Coco Fusco.
Each day, Mo Salemy and the New Centre for Research and Practice moderate discussion and debate on e-flux conversations.
This special issue of e-flux journal is published in cooperation with Wuhan Art Terminus (WH.A.T.). Selected texts will appear in Chinese and English on its online platform WH.A.T. TEXT. Generous support for the issue has been provided by Remai Modern Art Gallery of Saskatchewan, where a symposium around the topics in this issue will be held in fall 2015.
